Real Trees Are Good for Florida
Did you know?
During the holiday season, Florida Christmas tree growers produce over 200,000 live or freshly cut trees. In the US, 30 million trees are harvested each year while 85 million are planted. Christmas trees are typically planted in soils that are unsuitable for other crops, which provides wildlife habitats and scenic greenbelts while preventing erosion. Each acre of Christmas trees produces enough oxygen to meet the needs of 18 people every year.
